Phoenix, Ariz., – Parents of children with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and other behavior issues can learn new information about how to best help their children reach their full potential in an upcoming teleseminar series with a renowned pediatrician whose specialty is the integrative treatment of ADHD.
Dr. Sanford Newmark, founder of the Center for Pediatric Integrative Medicine, has more than 19 years of experience treating children with ADHD and other health, medical and behavioral problems. He received his medical degree and completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He also completed a 2-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine under the leadership of Dr. Andrew Weil. Dr. Newmark is the first graduate of this program to be in pediatric practice in the United States.
In addition to his professional credentials and experience, Dr. Newmark is a father who, together with his wife of 30 years, raised both an intensely challenging son and a daughter with special needs.
Dr. Newmark will be teaching little-known strategies to create an atmosphere of success for children with attention and behavior issues in a 5-part teleseminar series, "ADHD: A Whole Child Approach." Session topics are:
Session 1 - Tuesday, July 28: The ADHD Evaluation- Is ADHD really the correct diagnosis?
Session 2 - Tuesday, Aug. 4: Diet, Nutrition, and Food Sensitivities:
Session 3 - Tuesday, Aug. 11: Vitamins, Minerals, and other Nutritional Supplements
Session 4 - Tuesday, Aug. 18: Herbal Products, Homeopathy, and other Alternative Therapies
Session 5 - Tuesday, Aug. 25: Behavioral Approaches- Optimal Parenting for Children with ADHD
The series begins 9 am Pacific Time, Tuesday, July 28, and repeats weekly through Aug. 25. All sessions are one hour and will be recorded and MP3s provided to session attendees. Questions may be submitted throughout the series for Dr. Newmark.
This series may qualify for 5 CEU credits. Certificates of completion will be awarded to those who request them; it is the responsibility of the attendee to ensure compliance with the continuing education requirements for your professional license.
Dr. Newmark will be addressing topics and answering questions in a general educational sense; he cannot diagnose or prescribe for specific cases on this series.
