FAA Approves Able's Latest Bell 206 PMA Part

Bell 206 operators received welcome news to help offset rising maintenance costs this week when the FAA granted PMA approval to Able Aerospace to provide low-cost replacements of Bell 206 main rotor yoke bearings (OEM p/n 206-011-118-001; Able p/n 2AA-011-118-001). Able, a world leader in aviation component repair development, overhaul, and approved replacement parts solutions, will immediately begin offering the replacement yoke bearings from their facility in Phoenix, Arizona.

The FAA grants approval through its Aircraft Certification Office and Manufacturing Inspection District Office. It is the same process and offices the original manufacturer goes through.
