LAKE FOREST, IL – Intermedia Meetings & Events, a full-service meeting management firm, announces the launch of its newest service: The Meeting Planning Experience. In addition to offering its acclaimed meeting and association management services, Intermedia is introducing its new training program specifically designed to assist the non-traditional planner, namely executive and administrative assistants and industry suppliers. The program is tailored to each client’s unique needs, with on-hands training taking place “on location” within the students’ environment at their office.
The training will be led by Mollie Mercado, CMP, CMM, owner of Intermedia and an acclaimed and double-certified meeting manager and association executive. The Meeting Planner Experience’s comprehensive program involves a series of onsite training sessions involving interactive discussions focused on the key aspects of meeting planning. The main components of the program include site selection, contracts, event marketing, food and beverage, audio-visual requirements, special events and industry terminology. Further, planning tools and worksheets are furnished during the training to enhance the planner’s efficiency and to optimize the organization’
According to Ms. Mercado, many non-traditional planners are not considered meeting planners within their organizations and, therefore, do not receive training that is pertinent to their success in this role. “Our on-site training approach offers a cost effective way for organizations to train one or more employees at the same time.
