New York, NY: Karbone, Inc., a rapidly growing environmental credit brokerage, finance and carbon advisory firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Alice LeBlanc as Senior Strategic Consultant and member of Karbone’s advisory board.
Alice brings 20 years of experience promoting market mechanisms as tools for environmental protection and sustainable development. Alice is the founder and director of Environmental and Economic Consulting.

Alice previously led the Office of Environment and Climate Change in the Corporate Affairs Department of AIG, where she designed and implemented a global corporate climate change strategy. Prior to her work with AIG, she was SVP of design and research at the Chicago Climate Exchange. Alice has also consulted on climate change issues for both the public and private sectors. Moreover, Alice has held positions as Senior Economist at Environmental Defense Fund International, Economist in the banking sector and Strategic Planner in the oil and gas industry.
Alice is a trained economist and has presented extensively on topics related to climate change and emissions trading, including Congressional testimony. She holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Smith College and a M.S. in Economics from the University of Houston. Alice is a member of the Society of Woman Geographers, the Women’s Foreign Policy Group, the New York City Panel on Climate Change, and the Board of Advisors to the Appalachian Mountain Club.
