Ecological Sound Solutions get Murray Market Test

Ecological home sound solutions from United Plastics Corp., made from industrial waste will be tested by Costco in their Murray, Utah market.

July 22, 2009 - PRLog -- The new, dB2-4Walls™ from United Plastics Corp., a new sound-solution for homeowners, will be given a test-run in the Murray, UT Costco. The dB2-4Walls™ will be introduced at the Murray Costco the week of July 26th, 2009.

Eco-smart dB2-4Walls™ are constructed from industrial waste that would otherwise be added to landfills and are designed to sequester sound from room to room in homes, apartments or condominiums. dB2-4Walls™ reduce noise by 75% and is applied like wallpaper to existing walls and can then be painted.

“We wanted to give people peace and quiet in every room of their home,” says Tom Gorzelski, Acoustic Engineer at United Plastics Corp. “dB2-4Walls™ will keep a vacuum from waking up your baby, quiet that laundry room, or contain sound in your high-tech home theater.”

Acoustic Engineers at United Plastics Corp. discovered that the plastics being discarded by luxury automakers through their automotive trim production processes had acoustic properties. The Acoustic Engineers utilized these materials to introduce new sound-solutions for pre-construction and post-construction sound-control applications, like the dB2-4Walls™.

The dB2-4Walls™ will begin its test-run July 26th, 2009 at the Murray, UT Costco. The dB2-4Walls™ will be sold in 4’ x 8’ rolls that weigh 0.75lb/sqft. Manufactured in the United States, dB2-4Walls™ from United Plastics Corp. are impermeable to moisture and pass ASTM E-84 fire and smoke tests.
