On Thursday June 25th, the Western Beauty Institute at the San Fernando Valley campus hosted a couple of wedding day competitions. Students had to gather their best bridal fashion ideas since this was all about that special unforgettable day. The cosmetology school event was held in a two-part contest, the Fantasy Bridal Competition and the Bridal Competition.
The competitions were split up into two categories, hairstyles and makeup. Along with the hair, nails and facials, the students enhanced their models with fabulous wedding gowns. Special guests and judges Edward Fonseca and Kristine Spicer, both instructor graduates, reviewed the stunning brides to determine the finalists in all categories. During the judging, Mr. Fonseca stated, "The students definitely are the best trained." Also, Kristine Spicer commented about the freshman class displaying incredible talent.

2nd Place: Connie Garcia - Makeup
3rd Place: Patricia Velasquez - Makeup
The judges mentioned how very happy they were to be a part of this event and how it is always a pleasure to visit the Western Beauty Institute. In conjunction with the outstanding performance by the future stylists, the coordination and expertise by the staff contributed to another successful beauty competition at WBI.
