July 21, 2009 - PRLog -- One of London's newest eco-friendly small businesses has secured a trading slot at the Thames Festival, which is expected to attract almost one million visitors later this year.

Hammersmith-based DaisychainBaby.co.uk, which as well as providing Fairtrade and organic clothing and accessories for children under two embraces ethical business practices, will be selling its products at the foot of London's OXO Tower, the traditional heart of the Thames Festival.

Launched in 2007, the festival is a highlight of the capital's cultural calendar. On 12 and 13 September, the South Bank, Bankside and Pool of London will be transformed by colourful attractions, street theatre, world food and craft stalls, live music, fireworks and a mile-long night procession. Last year, it attacted 775,000 people.

Commenting on her involvement in the event, Lindsay Drabwell, founder of DaisychainBaby.co.uk, says: "To secure a place at the Thames Festival, one of London's most spectacular annual events, is a real accolade for a business of our size. We have only been established for eight months yet in September we will be showcasing our fabulous stock to an audience of almost one million.

"Although DaisychainBaby.co.uk is very much an online business offering customers the convenience of 24-hour shopping, we have found that attending markets and interacting with our customers face-to-face is hugely beneficial.

"With the Thames Festival attracting visitors from all around the world, we look forward to demonstrating to an even bigger audience the fact that shopping with us not only benefits your children but also the environment."

The Thames Festival is one of many events at which DaisychainBaby.co.uk is exhibiting. Despite only being established in November 2008, the company has built up a loyal following and generated repeat business by attending among others Duck Pond Market, a monthly market in west London for ethical small businesses.
