This home and guest home are surrounded by over 9 acres of tropical forest which falls in the path of a natural monkey corridor (white-faced Capuchins). You are also likely to spot hundreds of different bird species (owls, trogons, falcons, kites, toucans...)and many other mammals (like anteaters, coatis, agouti, and sloths) on a regular basis. Get your exercise in with a hike on one of two trails that leads to the year-round creek and cascading waterfall. Sit and read a book or meditate and let your cares drift downstream.
The main house is 2500 sq ft with 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Elegant concrete floors, beautiful cedar wood, and a small floating garden blend nicely and add to the tranquil environment. Screened windows and sliding doors allow for lots of natural light while still keeping nature in its place (mainly outside of the house). Do you want to have guests close, but not too close? A 5-minute trail through the old coco farm takes you from the main house to the 600 sq ft, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom guest house. Out of view from the main house and with its own private driveway, your guests will be able to have the resort getaway feel during their stay as well. Aside from the jungle, many mountain and valley viewpoints are found around each of the houses as well.
As for conveniences, how about a high-speed internet connection, cell phone and/or VOIP phone service, high-pressure hot water, and 2wd access just 15 minutes from the beach town of Dominical. Does this all sound too good to be true? Come and experience Casa Bambu...privacy, peace, paradise !!!!
