Serving as Communication and PR Specialist

RALEIGH, N.C. (July 21, 2009)—Better Business Bureau of Eastern North Carolina (www.bbb.org) announces today the appointment of Courtney Smith as its communication and public relations specialist.

In this role, Smith is responsible for working with the public and media, developing educational videos and other new media applications, as well as planning and executing special events and community activities. She joins BBB after serving as community content liaison for NBC-17 TV.

Drawing on her education and background, she has begun contributing to our team efforts immediately," says Beverly Baskin, president and CEO of the Better Business Bureau of Eastern North Carolina. A native of Clemmons, N.C., Smith is a graduate of North Carolina State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication.
