Braintree, MA – Jim Rothermel, President of Northeast Consulting, Inc., the premiere outsourced sales and marketing firm in the Greater Boston area, will run the ING New York City Marathon on November 1, 2009 to benefit Children’s Hospital Boston. As a member of Children’s Miles for Miracles Team, runners have an extra incentive to push them across the finish line: helping children and families who receive world-class care at Children’s.
Children’s Hospital Boston is the nation’s largest pediatric medical center, offering a complete range of health services for patients from birth through age 21. It is home to the world’s largest research enterprise based at a pediatric medical center, where its discoveries benefit both children and adults. The primary pediatric teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, it is also the single largest healthcare provider to low income and uninsured Massachusetts children
Owner and President of Northeast Consulting, Jim Rothermel said he wanted to donate to Children’s Hospital Boston in memory of his sister, who passed away from a battle with cancer 12 years ago.
“I am running this marathon and raising money to honor the way she lived her life and impacted everyone who knew her. I can’t bring her back, but I can help raise money so that one day hopefully someone out there will not have to lose their sister.”
Jim Rothermel said that Northeast Consulting will be participating in many other fundraising events in the near future, including a fundraiser for the Make a Wish Foundation
Miles for Miracles team members commit to raising critical funds to benefit Children’s Hospital Boston’s areas of greatest need: patient care; medical research; recruitment and training; and community health initiatives. Runners like Jim Rothermel meet this fundraising goal through sponsorships, personal donations, and pledges from their families, friends, community and co-workers.
If you would like to support Jim Rothermel, please send a donation to Northeast Consulting, Inc. 100 Grossman Dr. Ste 302 Braintree, MA 02184 or call 781-794-3200. Checks should be made out to Children’s Hospital Boston. For more information or to donate online, visit www.childrenshospital.org/
