A new line of golf bags has been released by a company in Connecticut. This new and innovative line of bags called Trav-A-Lite is the latest in the rapidly changing world of golfing tools and equipment. The company, NGC Golf, has cited this as a major step forward in making golfers' lives a little easier.
Traditionally, a golfer’s bag is heavy in addition to practically the entire club arsenal of the player that it carries inside. These old bags are ferried around golf courses by carts and caddies in between golf holes. When the game is done, they are hidden away in car trunks or in closets, and are unwieldy to transport. Reports have also shown that this creates problems with certain graphite shaft clubs, as these shafts are softer and more prone to damage.
These considerations were kept in mind in designing this new bag. The Trav-A-Lite bag is a slender 6 3/8” diameter cylinder case, and can hold up to 14 golf clubs. On its own, the bag weighs 4.2 pounds without the cover, and is small enough to be kept easily transportable for the traveling golfer.
The Trav-A-Lite has a unique design such that clubs do not rattle or clash against one another, unlike with larger and bulkier golf bags. This helps make the Trav-A-Lite bag ideal for graphite shaft clubs, as it keeps them from damaging each other during transport.
