July 20, 2009 - PRLog -- Los Angeles, CA / Boston, MA - Final Cut Studio users and digital filmmakers from around the world will gather together on Sunday, 13 September 2009 for the Second Annual Amsterdam FCPUG SuperMeet, to be held at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam, Netherlands during the same week of the IBC2009 trade show. Tickets are now available for purchase online only for €15.00 Euros each for adults and €10.50 Euros each for students. Doors open at 16:30 pm with an FCP Showcase with over 20 exhibitors; Presentations begin at 19:00 and continue until 23:30. This SuperMeet promises to be the single largest gathering of Final Cut Pro users, Gurus and digital filmmakers in Europe this year.

“We are very lucky to have this year's Amsterdam SuperMeet at the Hotel Krasnapolsky," states Michael Horton, SuperMeet co-producer and head of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (lafcpug). "The hotel's not only easy to get to, but it's a beautiful venue to visit and network in."

The Hotel Krasnapolsky is located in the heart of Amsterdam just a short tram ride away from the REI center that will host IBC2009.

SuperMeets provide the postproduction and broadcast community an opportunity to not only learn about the latest technology trends, but to connect with each other to discuss experiences and opportunities within the industry in a social setting that is both educational and fun. The user-driven format offers engaging presentations and training by community members and industry technologists. Equally popular are the presentations from community member videographers and filmmakers.

The Second Annual Amsterdam SuperMeet will also host an "FCP Showcase." Attendees will have an opportunity to talk one on one with leading manufacturers about the latest innovations for postproduction and broadcast markets.

"The FCP Showcase is a big part of these SuperMeets. Unlike giant trade shows, SuperMeet attendees always get a chance to get up close and personal and hands on with vendors at the SuperMeet in an intimate setting," said Daniel Berube, SuperMeet co-producer and head of the Boston Final Cut Pro User Group (Bosfcpug). "This is especially important for our industry in today's tough economic climate where networking and staying connected and on top of current HD editing workflow solutions is more important than ever."

The organizers of the SuperMeet are calling the agenda "supersecret" and are not expected to announce it until approximately three weeks before the event.

Rounding out the evening will be the always raucous "World Famous Raffle" with thousands of dollars worth of prizes to be handed out to dozens of lucky winners. Food (snacks) and drinks will be available throughout the evening.
