Techcorr USA, LLC. Announces New Technology, The Sludge Profiler Service Line.

TechCorr USA, LLC (www.techcorr.com) announced today that it is now offering a new service line called the “Sludge Profiler”.  The Sludge Profiler is specifically used to calculate the amount, location and topology of built up sediment(sludge) in above ground storage tanks.  When performing maintenance and inspections on tanks, removal of sludge in the tank cleaning stage is required.  If the amount of sludge to be cleaned from a tank is not properly estimated during the budgeting phase, serious time and cost implications can be experienced if more sludge is present than originally calculated.  The Sludge Profiler service has been specifically designed to use advanced acoustics to model the sludge to within a +/- 5% accuracy.  This is done by the insertion of an acoustic probe into the top of the tank at a few locations depending on the size of the tank.  Computer software is then used to stitch together the acoustic findings and provide a 3 dimensional sludge model.  This allows the customer to exactly calculate the time, materials and disposal costs or any other ramifications present with sludge settling.
