PRLog (Press Release) - Jul 20, 2009 -
Rutgers’ three Mini-MBA™ programs: Business Essentials, Finance Essentials, and BioPharma Innovation are among the retraining programs included on the Labor Department’s Eligible Training Providers List. Dislocated workers from any employment sector may be eligible to choose to enroll in one of the Mini-MBA™ programs (Individual Training Accounts of up to $4,000 each). Applicants must receive funding approval from their individual unemployment counselor, which is contingent upon the likelihood that the Rutgers Mini-MBA™ will help the individual gain employment. See here for more information (http://www.business.rutgers.edu/files/dol_grant_info.pdf).

The programs are offered by the Rutgers Center for Management Development, (Rutgers CMD), an international leader in developing and delivering innovative training solutions to strengthen the Business, Human Resources, Leadership and Management skills of the NJ workforce.

Instructors are Rutgers University faculty members and industry experts. Rutgers Business School (http://www.business.rutgers.edu) focuses on delivering the business, science, and technology credentials that global employers demand. The Mini-MBA™ programs are just one of many great examples of the real-world experiential learning programs and multi-disciplinary programs taught by Rutgers Business School’s strong faculty members.

The Rutgers Mini-MBA™ portfolio of programs have served as a gateway to the MBA, Executive MBA, and MBA concentrations in Supply Chain Management and Pharmaceutical Management since 2003.

Rutgers CMD programs will also be available to displaced workers in Ft. Monmouth, which is closing in 2011. Countless jobs have been lost in New Jersey in the past year and Rutgers Business School is providing these retraining programs to help professionals to adapt to their changing work environments or to update their skills and knowledge to make them more marketable in their own industries.
