Guido, a nine year old Italian Greyhound is the inspiration and reason California K9 Kitchen was formed. http://www.californiak9kitchen.com The procedure will be performed by Dr. Nicole Dielo, DVM of the Westminister Veterinary Group, Westminsiter, Ca. http://www.westminsterveterinarygroup.com Even though the surgery is considered routine; extra precautions are being taken in the administering of the anesthesia due to the risk he may enter into static seizure syndrome. In addition to his special dietary needs; Guido is an epileptic / seizure dog. As with all seizure animals; the administering of anesthesia is often riskier than the actual procedure.
Guido is expected to make a full recovery.
When asked about the operation, company President Joseph Lascola of California K9 Kitchen, Huntington Beach, Ca. said, “We put this operation off as long as possible. It is always a gamble putting him under anesthesia. He has the best doctors and will be at a state of the art hospital. I know they will do the very best they can do and keep him under anesthesia for the shortest period of time possible. I am confident all will go fine and he will be eating treats by the end of the week”
California K9 Kitchen is an all natural gourmet dog treat company that provides weekly fresh bakery services to several Southern California doggie boutiques and other fine establishments catering to pets.
