PRLog (Press Release) -
Jul. 18, 2009 - The 10 city School of Rock Music 2009 Midwest All Star tour kicked off tonight in Frisco Texas. In keeping with Texas tradition of doing everything in a BIG way, the local mayor didn’t just introduce the musicians, Mayor Maso kicked off the All Star Tour by smashing a prized guitar, a Gibson SG. True Rock Style!
The All Stars headlined a day of music in Frisco Texas as the community celebrated the opening of a new performance venue in town. What was once the City Hall building is now Rock City. The music celebration began at 10:00 am with an Open House for rockers of all ages to tour the venue and the new School of Rock Music located adjacent to the venue. At 4:00pm “Rockstravaganza”
exhibits opened and the music began at 6:00 p.m. with performances by School of Rock Music teachers, adult students and teen musicians. Mayor Maso took the stage at 7:30 p.m with the guitar smashing ceremony and the main act, the School of Rock Music All Stars, opened their set at 8:30 p.m.
200 people were on hand in Frisco TX to rock to the classic tunes performed by these tremendously talented teen musicians (13-18 years old) . “They are the best and brightest students from the School of Rock Music’s 55+ locations nationwide,”
added Paige Peavler, Midwest Regional Director. “The all-ages concerts on this tour are a terrific chance for parents and kids to enjoy a night of rock together…and both generations are guaranteed to enjoy themselves.”
The band performs again Saturday, July 18 at The Riot Room in Kansas City MO to a SOLD OUT SHOW!
Then it’s on to St. Paul MN July 19 where they’ll perform at O’Garas Garage. Doors open at 6:30 and the music starts at 7:00. Tickets for the St. Paul show are only available at the door.
