HEMET, CALIFORNIA, (July 17, 2009) – American Home Products introduces their newest product, The XG-1 Gopher Eliminator; the worlds first and only computerized gopher detector and exterminator. The XG-1 uses the latest infrared-detection technology to detect the gopher’s presence for easy extermination.
The XG-1 Eliminator uses the gopher’s behavioral patterns to exterminate them. Gophers always return to investigate any interruption to their “run” and when they return the properly placed XG-1’s begin the extermination process by launching the attack spears. A gopher “run” is the network of underground gopher highways that are ruining your lawn and garden. A fresh mound of dirt on top of your lawn or garden is both an indication of their presence and the target area.
Two XG-1’s are strategically placed inside their latest run (a DVD included in the system explains this process at length) pointing in opposite directions. Once the gopher is detected (using the infrared technology) the XG-1 launches the mini spear, a spear similar to those used in a scuba spear gun. The spear is connected to the XG-1’s base through two 6-inch steel fishing leaders. The steel tip has a catch built into it to pull the target out of the run.
