July 17, 2009 - PRLog -- In the good old Australian spirit of helping out some little Aussie battlers, The Biggest Aussie Pie Night celebrates a true blue fundraising tradition, while supporting children and their families living with cancer.

The Biggest Aussie Pie Night will take place throughout August to raise money for Challenge- supporting kids with cancer.  Now in its 25th year, Challenge strives to improve the day to day lives of these families by providing a personalised service that offers a unique blend of fun activities and practical assistance helping them move forward positively throughout their journey.

“Challenge is calling on all schools, pubs, clubs, businesses, families and friends to hold a pie night in August. It’s a perfect opportunity for mates to get together, eat pies and raise money for Challenge- supporting kids with cancer,” says Challenge CEO David Rogers.

Anyone can hold a pie night, at anytime throughout August by simply registering at www.biggestaussiepienight.com or by calling 1800 828 855. You will receive a host kit with heaps of ideas and everything you need to host your own Biggest Aussie Pie Night.

Either buy some pies, grab a recipe or create your own little beauties: Apple, cherry, veggie or meat. What ever your fancy, every slice makes a difference.

In 2009 the campaign kicks off on Saturday July 18th where Collingwood and the MCG will be hosting their own Biggest Aussie Pie Night at Round 16, Collingwood v Hawthorn.
