Making a women beautiful for special occasions like a wedding day or anniversary party is not the only difference Smart and Chic makes. They are delighted to offer their profits, services, beauty and business knowledge to local and nationwide charity groups.
In March of this year the Smart and Chic team donated a Girl’s Night Out Red Carpet Party to the University of Minnesota YMCA. The University YMCA provides tutoring and mentorship programs to thousands of twin cities kids. Six very excited college students were the winners and are looking forward to their night of pampering.
Julie Swenson, owner of Smart and Chic, just recently led a workshop with the YWCA Women with suggestions on how to dress, groom and interview to secure and maintain a job.
The YWCA Transitional Housing Program empowers women with children to move from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Smart and Chic also collects gently used and new professional clothes for the YWCA women.
In honor of Earth Month, Smart and Chic donated to Conservational International whose mission is to conserve the Earth's living heritage. Smart and Chic will continue to make donations with the profits from their new makeup line, created exclusively for special occasion makeup and professional photography.
