Strategic Guru Provides Pro Bono Public Relations for Hospice of Wake County Fundraising Event

Cary, NC – Strategic Guru, Inc., a Triangle-based marketing and communications firm, announced today that, as part of their participation in the planning committee for the 8th Annual Big Bad Ball (www.bigbadball.com), the agency is providing full public relations support, including the use of social media tools. The event is the gala fundraiser for Hospice of Wake County and will be held on Saturday, October 3rd, at the Capital City Club in Raleigh.

Strategic Guru is building awareness of the event by traditional press releases and by initiating the event’s Twitter account (www.twitter.com/bigbadball).   A custom Twitter background was developed for the event, reflecting the design of the logo and flyer. Twitter is being used to drive traffic to the event’s Facebook page and web site. The Big Bad Ball Twitter will publicize donations and prizes to be auctioned that evening. Donations include wine tasting, personal training, massages, pet grooming services, and jewelry.
