Lucknow, : Rotary Club of Lucknow Khaas celebrated its installation day, with the a cordial welcome ceremony of District Governor (RI Distt.3120) Rtn. C P Agawal on his official visit to R C of Lucknow Khaas. On this occasion a Club Bulleting released by our District Governor. Rtn. V K Srivastava; took over as President of the club and introduced his team consisting of Secretary and other directors and office bearers. Immediate Past President Dr Rama Mitra and outgoing secretary Rtn. Pramil Dwivedi shared achievements, awards, and a various social projects undertaken by the club during the previous year.
The first part of governor’s visit programme was started since morning 11 am first he visited Club’s Project site at Kranti Vidya Mandir, Bangala Bazar this school is adopted by Rotary club of Lucknow Khaas and running a literacy as well as Computer education program in this school.
IPP Rtn. Dr Rama Mitra expressed her views on Governor’s recognition 2008-09 as Rotary Club Lucknow khaas for active participation in Child Mortality prevent, Literacy, Water Management, school, Physically Handicapped, environment, community and Polio eradication projects.
Outgoing secretary and member Chairman Committee of International Services Rtn. Pramil Dwivedi presented a detailed report of the work carried out during the previous year and that the work earned numerous awards for the Club.
Mr. Pramil Dwivedi Added that the club has a long history of selfless service to mankind. We have organized 24 fortnightly Free Medical camps during the year with the panel of our experts Rtn Dr VS Dave, Dr Col. Rastogi, Dr Yajnik, Dr Rama Mitra and Dr Atul Jairath has been doing its share in giving relief to the poor of Bangla Bazar locality. Through the years,
We have undertaken more service projects / events to serve the under privileged society. as : Women Honor programme, Polio NID Camps at Primary School Kamta Village, INFANT MORTALITY, LITERACY, SCHOLARSHIP, INTERCITY MEETS, DONATION TO ROTARY FOUNDATION, INTRACT CLUB, GSE and POLIO Team’s VISIT, The Clean Water Project, the sanitation project , Rotary Service week, Cricket Match at BBD Stadium. Etc…
The Computer Literacy project with 6 nos. of computers availing approx 200 students this facility have been started recently and have provided a relief To the people associated with Kranti Vidya Mandir;Bangla Bazar, a school for the abjectly poor.
The DG Rtn C P Agarwal complimented Rtn V K Srivastava and assured him of cooperation, specially in the area of child health.and school programmes
Club President Rtn V K Srivastava spoke of her plans of doing more social services during his tenure. He added a hallmark of rotary Service has always been Rotarians’ commitment to doing what to be done... On a club level, we might take books to school, help a disabled person with errands, or volunteer in a job program.
