Miami, Florida -- "If you can't afford a Picasso original to hang in your living room, do the next best thing - buy a photo print of a particular art piece and put it in the most expensive frame you can afford" says Photographer Winston D. Munnings.  “And why not a cheapo print by the great one? If you care or know that much about Picasso and his works, you certainly deserve to have a reproduction of one his works of art in your living room” he added.

The same thinking, he says, should also pertain to many Orchid lovers who have an insatiable desire for collecting and growing orchids, but who simply cannot afford the dollar expense for these very fragile flowers.  What is the next best thing?  “Buy an orchid print (Framed or Unframed). One thing is for certain, it’s guaranteed to last for many years without one drop of water or fertilizer” Winston said.

Be it a Dendrobium, a Phalaenopsis or a Cymbidium, buying a print of your favorite Orchid has become very easy as a direct result of two ‘Orchid Only’ web sites recently launched by the Bahamian Photographer. Winston’s Orchid prints are marketed worldwide on Redbubble and Imagekind, two leading Online website for professional artists.

A Native of The Bahamas, Winston studied Photography at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale and the New York Institute of Photography. After almost two decades in the Diplomatic Service of The Bahamas, he retired as Consul General and currently shuttles between South Florida, Washington DC., and The Bahamas. Although he refers to himself as a Generalist, he has a passion and fondness for Flower Photography.

“I started photographing Orchids quite accidently” he remembers.  He said his wife’s interest in collecting and growing orchids is how it all began for him … Just simply taking photographs of her Orchid flowers so she can show and exchange with friends as involved in this pastime as she is.  “Now I’m hooked and just loving it” he continued.

You can find Winston’s Orchid images on http://flower429.redbubble.com/ (Portrait of an Orchid) and on http://winstondmunnings.imagekind.com/store/ (Winston’s Flower Patch.)
“Both websites are very user friendly and very easy to navigate through, and placing an order is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3,” Winston said.  “If all else fails” he continued, “you can always send an email to: wdmunnings429@gmail.com.”
