By: Tiffany Barranco Sunny Isles Beach Jazz Fest will once again celebrate the extraordinary sounds of jazz music throughout the event weekend; produced by the City of Sunny Isles Beach in partnership with the Sunny Isles Beach Resort Association to benefit Joshua’s Heart Foundation (www.joshuasheart.org) The 2008 event featured internationally famous The David Sanborn Group as well as local artists in elegant resort settings attracting local, national and international attendees. Elite sponsors for the 2008 events included Solis, Trump International, Le Meridien Sunny Isles Beach, Acqualina, Doubletree Ocean Point Resort, St. Tropez, the Greater Miami Convention and Visitor Bureau, Epicure Market Place, Citibank, Warren Henry Motors and Barefoot Wines. Corporate sponsorship for the 2009 Jazz Fest is available at different levels. Each with escalating advantages for the sponsor to reach a broad-based, international, national and regional audience of upscale consumers estimated at more than 10,000 attendees. Packages range from ‘Bronze Sponsor’ to ‘Platinum Sponsor’ or a customized sponsorship can also be designed. All major sponsors will receive broad national and regional media recognition through an integrated media marketing campaign as well as a national/international public relations campaign. The Sunny Isles Beach Jazz Fest will showcase and highlight the best that the City of Sunny Isles Beach has to offer including: great food, fine dining, exclusive resorts and much more! Most significantly, in the spirit of giving Joshua’s Heart Foundation has been named as the Jazz Fest’s official nonprofit partner, which will benefit from the proceeds of the event. Joshua’s Heart Foundation, was founded by a five year old boy by the name of Joshua. His heart conceived a passion for assisting those who struggle daily to procure food for basic survival. The main focus of his vision is to “Stomp out Hunger” in indigent and underprivileged communities, as well as from among those who battle debilitating diseases that affect their ability to earn enough to feed themselves. This year’s official festival poster will be designed by local, Neo-pop artist, Ed King.
