FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PR Log (Press Release) –
Jul 15, 2009 – The Society of Certified Senior Advisors (SCSA)® has issued a new white paper, The Economic Crisis – Helping Seniors Cope in a Broken Financial System. This research paper, which you can find at www.csa.us, describes suggested practices and solutions for professionals working with older adults. Seniors are one of the top age groups struggling in the current financial environment and professionals are in a key position to assist them through this financial crisis.
The white paper is intended to assist professionals by helping them understand how this economic crisis is affecting their senior clients financially and emotionally. It gives professionals a current report on the changing trends, programs and policies affecting seniors today. It also shares with them important strategies and tools to help communicate with existing and prospective clients. Ten professionals, all Certified Senior Advisors (CSA)®, specializing across industries from elder law to long-term care contributed to this white paper. They examined the statistical evidence of what is happening to seniors today, compared that to the state of things before the financial crisis and developed strategic recommendations for professionals and their businesses. The complete white paper can be downloaded via the home page on the SCSA web site at www.csa.us. SCSA will continue to collect current information and solutions related to this topic and updates may be posted on the SCSA website. You may also contact SCSA at 800-653-1785 or at society@csa.us for more information. About SCSA SCSA was established in 1997 to enhance education and standards among professionals working with senior citizens. SCSA’s mission is to educate professionals to work more effectively with their senior clients. We believe that the right kind of planning, recommendations and referrals can make aging a state to be savored instead of a fate to fear. For those who work with seniors, this means understanding the key health, social and financial factors that are important to seniors—and how these factors work together. CSAs are able to integrate this into their professional practices, no matter what field they’re in. They’ve learned how incredibly gratifying it is to help seniors achieve their goals, and the seniors they’ve worked with have learned how important it is to work with someone who truly understands their age-related circumstances. # # # SCSA educates professionals to work more effectively with their senior clients. That means understanding the key health, social & financial factors that are important to seniors — so you can find success in the senior market.
