Leigh Designs creates one-of-a-kind, hand-made dyed silk designs for resort wear—scarves, sarongs, ruanas, silk shirts and more. Each work is unique and signed. Leigh employs different design techniques such as wax-resist batik, direct dye painting, and rozome to create her originals, often inspired by nature. Silk accepts dyes very brilliantly and the joy of working with color continues to fuel Leigh’s experimentation and new designs.
The silk creations can be ordered from the website, found at Kari’s Kreations on Neopolitan Way in Naples, or at Side Street Artists in Bonita Springs, a seasonal street fair www.sidestreetartists.org Leigh has taught batik at the Art League of Bonita Springs www.artcenterbonita.org and currently accepts a limited number of private students.
