PRLog - Jul. 15, 2009 - FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- The Cardinals are heading back to the high country this summer to train at Northern Arizona University. Flagstaff is ready to welcome head coach Ken Whisenhunt and the rest of the organization to prepare for the upcoming season.

SI.com sports analyst, Peter King ranked the Cardinals training camp no. 3 in the NFL in the article “My top five training camps: Places to get up close and personal with NFL.” Si.Com is the on-line magazine for Sports Illustrated.

The Cardinals’ three practice fields sit at an elevation of 7,000 feet, with players and fans enjoying temperatures in the upper 70s and 80s, a welcome relief from the Valley’s 110-plus degree temperatures in July and August.

If a summertime shower descends, practice can shift to NAU’s 14,000-seat Walkup Skydome. It is also the site of the Cardinals’ annual intrasquad scrimmage.

Players and coaches will be available following each practice to sign autographs as they come off the field. All practices at NAU are free and open to the public. Times are subject to change and fans are encouraged to check the team's official Web site azcardinals.com for the most up-to-date practice info.
