Regions Bank, Goldring Gulf Distributors, Anderson Suburu, NAPA Auto Parts, Kia Autosport, Dr. Harlan, Troy Rafferty, and Ted Ciano, purchased the necessary tickets with County Commissioner Gene Valentino waiting to purchase the last two tickets, that gave owner Tim Kerr the numbers needed to tell Jim Combs, commissioner of the SPHL, Pensacola is onboard. "I am happy for the people in Pensacola that worked so hard to bring hockey back and in just three months they can watch their first Pensacola Ice Flyers game at the Hangar. The league will officially release their schedule now that Pensacola has made the committment to play. Kerr said his team will have to play catch up with the other teams in the league as they have had a three month head start. We had a game plan to sell tickets and we met that objective. Now we have a game plan to recruit a strong group of players, open our offices and continue to sell our corporate sponsorships. The team is expected to open offices in the Civic Center and will continue selling tickets online at www.pensacolaiceflyers.com and at the Civic Center. "We will continue to take $25 deposits on tickets until July 24th, after that date half will be due on August 1, and the balance on October 1st." Kerr is expected to be in Pensacola on July 22 to personally thank everyone for making this happen..
