Memory Purse
When Anita Gordon wanted a meaningful birthday gift for her sister, she turned to fiber artist, Louise Silk. She had seen and admired her memory quilts for years and wondered if there was a way to apply the ideas to a smaller project. Together they came up with a petite over-the-shoulder purse of cottons with a photo transfer lining. The bag has important family photos, heirloom accents of buttons and jewelry all of which remind her sister that this handmade gift from one sister to another is made with loving memories of their parents.
