Object Identification Filing will be available on the iPhone as a patented application, allowing users to scan an image and then search over a network for information relating to it. To date there are no hand-held mainstream devices that carry the technology. Apple hopes to gain customers through the installation of object identification filing, but this can only happen with the cooperation of companies who develop software that can unlock iPhone 3.0 and 3gs handsets, such as iPhone Unlocking Solutions.
"It’s no surprise the iPhone is at the forefront of this incredible technology” says Michael Cera, CEO of iPhone Unlocking Solutions. “Yet customers who cannot access the AT&T network or who live in a country where AT&T is not available are going to need to unlock iPhone handsets or they’ll miss out. Our software will unlock iPhone 3gs and 3g models and we’re pleased that it will allow people all over the world to be a part of object identification filing"
iPhone Unlocking Solutions is a company based in San Diego, California and one which works on a global basis. To date the company has unlocked over 1.5 million iPhone handsets since their launch in 2005.
Amidst excitement over Apple Inc. introducing object identification technology into their iPhone product, software companies have raised the issue of customers being excluded from using it because they cannot access exclusive network AT&T. Software which can unlock iPhone 3.0 & the new 3g s handsets is expected to fly off the shelves in anticipation of the technology release.
