July 14, 2009 - PRLog -- Donating to a charity has never been this much fun!  On July 18, 2009, Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Inc. will host a “Summer Donation Celebration” at the Springs Plaza in Bonita Springs from noon until 4:00 p.m.

A Goodwill donation truck will be parked at the Springs Plaza shopping center (Tamiami Trail and Bonita Beach Road) to collect gently used clothing and household goods from the community.  In return for a donation, guests will be welcome to join in the fun.  Donors will also receive valuable coupons for use at Goodwill stores.

A live DJ will play music at the donation celebration, and WINK-FM will also provide music from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. A bounce house, donated by Bounce 4 Less, will amuse the kids, and a clown is scheduled to make balloon animals and entertain children and adults alike.

Donors at the Summer Donation Celebration will have the opportunity to meet television personalities, including Azteca America hosts Mayela Rosales and Carlos Zapata. Fox-4 anchor Patrick Nolan will be at the celebration from noon until 1pm.

Goodwill will conduct auditions for “So You Think You’re Thrifty,” Goodwill’s search to find the thriftiest shopper in Southwest Florida.  Guests will be able to fill out entry forms and audition during the entire donation celebration.

Goodwill re-sells donations in its 24 Southwest Florida stores in order to raise money for its mission of helping people with disabilities and other disadvantages.
