Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory receives its eighth consecutive 4-star rating from Charity Navigator

July 14, 2009 - PRLog -- Cold Spring Harbor, NY – For the eighth consecutive year, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) has earned a 4-star rating for sound financial practices from the philanthropic evaluator Charity Navigator.  Only 1% of the approximately 5,000 non-profit organizations analyzed by Charity Navigator have achieved this milestone.

The CSHL rating was awarded based on performance in two broad areas of financial health: organizational efficiency, which is a measure of how well the Lab is using its current resources; and organizational capacity, which looks at the Lab’s ability to grow programs and services over time.
