San Diego, CA—SCS Engineers (SCS) is conducting an environmental assessment of the Potrero Annex and Terrace public housing sites being redeveloped by the BRIDGE Housing Corp. in San Francisco.
SCS is providing environmental assessments beginning with a Phase I assessment on the existing buildings, property and surrounding properties.
“This environmental assessment ensures a safe demolition and safe construction of new structures for this public housing project,” said Daniel E. Johnson, SCS Vice President and San Diego Operations Manager. Mr. Johnson is the Project Director for the Potrero contract.
The Potrero sites are being redeveloped as part of the City of San Francisco’s HOPE SF program, which is aimed at revitalizing distressed public housing developments.
Located on Potrero Hill in San Francisco, Potrero Annex and Terrace make up a 606-unit public housing project. The units were originally constructed in two phases in 1941 and 1955.
