Registration for September 2009 Level I and II Examinations Closes on July 29, 2009

The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), Association® announced that the registration period for the September 2009 CAIA Level I and Level II examinations will close on July 29, 2009.

Craig Asche, Executive Director of the CAIA Association stated, "The constantly evolving nature of alternative strategies demands that industry professionals upgrade their product knowledge and be well-versed in a variety of areas.”

The September 2009 examinations, which run from September 8th – 23rd, encompass the latest developments in the CAIA Level I & Level II curricula. Of special note are new research articles that have been incorporated into the latest CAIA Level II: Current and Integrated Topics.  Articles on climate change, tail risk management, global village risk and more have been highlighted. Each piece has been chosen for its topical relevance and currency.

“The alternative investment industry is constantly evolving in response to changes in the economic, financial and regulatory environments. Because of the dynamic nature of our field, the CAIA Association continually reexamines its curriculum to ensure our program is current and relevant,” said Hossein Kazemi, Managing Director of the CAIA program.  “The updates we’ve integrated into the September 2009 curriculum were designed to reflect the growing concern about risk, risk management and the investment opportunities that may arise in response to global actions to address climate change.”
