New Zealand company Intergen designed one of the worldwide Office 2010 websites to showcase the innovative features of the software through demo videos. The site, called Backstage with Office (http://www.office2010themovie.com), will host interviews with key developers and programme managers as well as bringing together people from the Office community worldwide.
The videos on the site run in 720p High Definition using Windows Media Services Smooth Streaming. This means the website will be able to deliver a great experience to users around the world no matter what their bandwidth – the video server will send a stream that is suited to the user’s capacity level.
Recognising the prevalence of mobile-based browsers, Intergen has also designed a specific experience for people with iPhones, Microsoft smartphones and other mobiles devices to view the website.
Chris Auld, Intergen’s Director of Strategy and Innovation, said that Intergen was thrilled to be involved in Office 2010.

Intergen designed the Office 2010 website based on Microsoft Silverlight technology.
