Anointed Word fights poverty with Free Clothes & Free Meal in Rockdale and Dekalb Cty-Georgia

July 13, 2009 - PRLog -- Anointed Word Church to fight community poverty with Clothing Give-Away & Free Meal in Rockdale and Dekalb County, GA



(Atlanta, July 13, 2009) According to Georgia Department of Community Affairs the number of persons living in poverty in Georgia in 2006 was1.3 million. The economic downturn experienced by numerous families in Dekalb and Rockdale has substantially increased the number of persons living in poverty. Anointed Word Church is leading the charge in Rockdale and DeKalb counties to fight poverty.

Anointed Word Evangelistic Tabernacle (AWET), 7373 Covington Highway, Lithonia, GA. 30058 will host a Community Fair Saturday July 25, 2009 from 11:00 am. To 2:00 p.m.  Community members are invited to shop for FREE!  Family clothing, household items and books will be available to all neighbors of Anointed Word Church.  Children and adults are welcome to stop in for Free hot dogs, chips and drink.  Dr. Bobby Henderson is Pastor of Anointed Word Evangelistic Tabernacle. Our goal is to share the love of Jesus and positively impact the lives of our neighbors and friends through our community missions efforts stated Evangelist Brenda Johnson, Director of Missions for Anointed Word Church.  Anointed Word Church Missions Department supports the Atlanta Union Mission Shelter, Traditions Nursing Home - Lithonia, GA, and Mountain View Nursing Home - Decatur- GA. in their domestic outreach. The AWET Missions Department also engages in Door to Door Evangelism throughout the Lithonia community. Their international mission efforts include ministry efforts in Kampala, Tororo, and Eldoret Uganda where Dr. Bobby Henderson is the presiding Bishop of Uganda for the Churches of God in Christ Intl. Upcoming mission opportunities include the Beautiful Women’s Make Over for the homeless at the Atlanta Mission Shelter in September 2009.  Anointed Word Ministries welcomes volunteers and community leaders to join them in the fight against poverty in the city, state, country and world.
