Scottsdale, AZ: Move over Rover. There’s a new top dog in town. Camp Bow Wow Scottsdale, the upscale domain for dogs at 10320 N. Scottsdale Road, has new owners. Doreen Valentine-Martin and Kevin Martin are dedicated to providing the highest caliber of service to all entrusting them with the care of their fur-legged friends. Now Scottsdale puppy parents can run errands, head to work, or ἀy-off for a week out of town secure in their knowledge that their dogs will be well cared for at the country’s premier doggy day and overnight camp.
All campers are required to participate in a free interview day before they can attend Camp on a regular basis. “At Camp Bow Wow, it’s all about the dogs,“ said Carrie Bernardi, the Camp director. “Our camp-ers spend their days socializing and playing in our play yards, think of how happy they are when playing at the dog park. Their parents can drop them off and go about their business without worrying whether their dogs are getting enough exercise or attention.” Interested puppy parents can check in on the activities in the play yards by logging on to the Camp Bow Wow Scottsdale web site to watch the real-time footage broadcast by one of the many Camper Cams® installed around the Camp.
All Canine campers must be neutered or spayed if over six months old, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccinations, have had a Bordetella (canine cough) vaccination within the past 6 months and be in general good health.

At bedtime, they’re lulled to sleep by classical music after enjoying a special Campfire treat.
All campers at Camp Bow Wow are supervised by a staff of CertiḀed Camp Counselors® trained in pet CPR and Ḁrst aid, dog behavior, safety and health management. To ensure the happiness and safety of all campers, the Camp will be staffed with 1 counselor for every 15 campers at all times.
The Martins are no strangers to life at Camp Bow Wow. They opened Camp Bow Wow Pittsburgh South, PA, in 2007 after reading an article about the company founder Heidi Ganahl. In just two years they built it into one of the highest producing Camp Bow Wow’s in the country and decided to expand by purchasing the Scottsdale and Albuquerque, NM, Camp Bow Wow franchises. About being a Camp Bow Wow owner, Valentine-Martin says, “I love waking up and going to work every day.”
Camp Bow Wow Scottsdale is working with local animal protection and rescue groups to foster dogs for adoption. For more information about Camp Bow Wow Scottsdale, to make a reservation and to schedule an interview day at camp, please call 480.348.2267 or visit www.campbowwow.com/
