Mildred R. Chernofsky, MD joins Sibley’s Gynecologic Oncology and Advanced Pelvic Surgery Center

PR Log (Press Release) – Jul 13, 2009 – Sibley Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Mildred R. Chernofsky, MD, Gynecologic Oncologist. Dr. Chernofsky began her duties on July 9, 2009. She joins Jeffrey Lin, MD in Sibley's Center for Gynecologic Oncology and Advanced Pelvic Surgery as the principal investigator of the Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) clinical trials. Her clinical interests include: ovarian cancer cytoreduction, endometrial cancer surgery, preinvasive and invasive disease of the vulva, vagina and cervix, gestational trophoblastic disease, and advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery. 

Dr. Chernofsky is board certified in Gynecologic Oncology. She received her MD from The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the San Diego Naval Medical Center and her fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Southern California LAC USC - Women's and Children's Hospital. Dr. Chernofsky is also fluent in Spanish.
