OCEANSIDE, CA -- CyberVolume, developer of engineering and scientific software, has announced availability of their new robust non-linear optimization engine, CyberOpt, for the Microsoft .NET Framework.
The engine supports derivative and non-derivative optimization methods, including Levenberg-Marqaurdt (LM), downhill simplex, and particle swarm optimization (PSO). Additionally, multi-start and combination methods are available. Various variable constraint options are provided. Each variable may be unconstrained, constrained between a minimum and maximum value, greater than zero, greater than a minimum value, less than a maximum value, or only constrained between a minimum and maximum value during randomization of the initial population and unconstrained during optimization.
The engine is simple to use and provides events that allow the calling application to easily determine status of the optimization and to reliably terminate the optimization if required. CyberOpt ships with example projects in the following languages: VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, Excel VBA 2007, and Visual Basic 6.0.
It is priced at $595 USD for a single-user license. Special discounts are available for academic users. Also, volume discounts are offered for quantity purchases.
A 30-day fully functioning trial version of CyberOpt may be requested at http://www.cybervolume.com/
