Randy and Donny Vaughn, The Marketing Twins at 1429 Creative, presented two seminars this past week on the topic of social media.
On Wednesday, July 8th, 2009, The Marketing Twins conducted a social media seminar exclusively for area churches. The presentation was also open to non-profit organizations and parachurch ministries. Participants represented churches and ministries in North Richland Hills and Wichita Falls. The event was conducted at the LifeWay Christian Store in Hurst, Texas.
The following evening, Thursday, July 9th, the Fort Worth marketing firm spoke to over 25 participants at the North Richland Hills Public Library.
While the seminars were addressed to different market segments, both seminars taught participants how to incorporate a comprehensive social media strategy, focusing not only on specific tools, but on a systematic use of social media based on a strong marketing focus.
"While the world of social media is constantly changing," said Randy Vaughn, "we see more and more people jumping into this online frenzy with no real plan or strategy. Organizations of all kinds are not maximizing their online effectiveness because they don't understand, first, why they are doing social media." The seminar addressed the incorporation of podcasting, webcasting, blogging, videos, photos, online reviews, email marketing, article marketing, online news releases, and social networking sites like Linkedin, Twitter and Facebook.
The Marketing Twins have spoken at a number of networking groups, conferences, organizations, and workshops on a variety of marketing topics. The Marketing Twins work with small business and non-profit organizers to deliver keynote speeches, breakout sessions and to run half-day and full-day seminars.
