Jul 11, 2009 – Photography Corner ( www.PhotographyCorner.com ) has announced a new Contest Corner Challenge open to all members of the popular photography community (which is free to join). There's little doubt that, due to climate change, we're experiencing some pretty crazy weather. There are not many upsides to global warming, but one of them may be the fact that photographers can photograph the beautiful effects of the usual and unusual weather patterns. For Contest Corner Challenge #65: Crazy Climate, photographers are simply asked to take and submit a photograph depicting "weather" (lightning, tornados, rain, heat, clouds, etc). A challenge winner will be chosen after a 1-week voting period by PhotographyCorner.com members when the entry period of the contest ends on August 2nd, 2009. The site began offering Contest Corner Challenges in July 2004, and new challenges are issued approximately a dozen times per year. The prize for the current challenge is a professional camera bag from Think Tank Photo.
Photographers who join PhotographyCorner.com have the ability to enter one photograph for each of the Contest Corner Challenges. In an effort to make the contests fair for all members, only photographs taken during the time of the contest can be entered, and only minor post-production photo manipulation can be used.
Contest Corner Challenges at PhotographyCorner.com are issued to site members in the community’s forum and on the Corner Blog. Premiere Members of Photography Corner (requires a yearly or lifetime subscription)
are eligible to win some of the larger prizes, but all members of the site are always invited to submit photographs to the contest and to participate in the 1-week voting window to vote on contest winners and discuss submissions after they have all been received.
