- Learning Arabic just got easier -

In response to the lack of learn Arabic courses online, Rocket Languages is about to release a new learn Arabic course - the latest in their range of hugely successful multimedia language learning products. Rocket Arabic incorporates interactive audio lessons (MP3s), which include transcripts in English Arabic, Arabic script and the English translation; Arabic grammar and Arabic culture lessons; and dynamic software language learning games.

- More Want to Learn Arabic Language -

The demand for learn Arabic courses has grown significantly in recent years, as more people around the world, and Westerners in particular, are seeking to better understand the Middle East – its current affairs and Islam in particular.

However, while professionals, students and travelers alike are becoming increasingly aware of the benefits of learning one of the world's most widely spoken languages, the education market is struggling to meet the demand for Arabic language learning resources.

While the US has seen a 92.5 percent increase in Arabic learning in recent years, according to the Modern Language Association, university teachers of Arabic interviewed in a recent study by the UCLA Anderson School all stated that there is insufficient learn Arabic software available to teach their language.

- New Learn Arabic Course Meets a Need of a Changing World -

Seeing a real gap in the market, Rocket Languages, one of the major providers of language learning resources online, will release a new learn Arabic course on 13 July. Having garnered initial feedback from people keen to learn Arabic language during the course development period, the company anticipates a positive response upon its release.

“While universities in the West have seen a huge increase in Arabic departments, these are not accessible to everyone”, says Rocket Arabic Project team member Amira Zaki. “We wanted to create a comprehensive learn Arabic course that could be accessed by everyone 24/7. Flexible learning is what education needs to be about these days. People want to learn at their own pace in their own time.”

Taking a conversational learning approach, which has learners starting to speak Arabic from the first lesson, Rocket Arabic incorporates interactive audio (MP3s), comprehensive and fully-illustrated Arabic grammar and Arabic culture lessons, and dynamic software learning games. Transcripts of conversations are available in English Arabic, Arabic script and the English translation.

New to market this month, Rocket Arabic is a modern and up-to-date package designed to be street-wise whilst conveying all of the traditional language learning principles.

The Arabic language teachers behind the course hope that learners will be inspired to strive beyond a basic familiarity with the Arabic alphabet, Arabic phrases, and Arabic writing, and seek to better their understanding and enjoyment of the Arabic-speaking world with the Arabic culture lessons included in the course.

- Interactive Language Learning is Key -

The creators acknowledge learning a second language can be challenging, and with this in mind, the new learn Arabic course offers learners access to a virtual, interactive Arabic language learning area, where course materials and a wealth of additional motivational elements including quizzes, self-tests and language certification, can be accessed. This is in addition to a Arabic language learners' forum, where a team of Arabic teachers, native speakers, and fellow enthusiasts can respond to the learner's questions.

Because Egypt has always been, and still is, the most popular country for those learning Arabic as a foreign language, according to the National Foreign Language Center in Washington, Rocket Arabic uses native Egyptian speakers.  Even though there are distinct variations in the way Arabic is spoken from region to region, their voices represent a very standard Arabic accent.

One of the fastest-growing online language learning resource providers, Rocket Languages currently has upwards of 60,000 customers across more than 90 countries. Besides Arabic, the company is currently developing learn Korean and learn Hindi courses along with more advanced level courses for French and Spanish.

"Our ability to make learning more convenient, participatory and enjoyable has built the Rocket Languages brand", says CEO Jason Oxenham - welcome words for those who have struggled with learning a second language in the past.

Also good news for so many watching their wallets in these uncertain economic times is that the new learn Arabic course by Rocket Languages is fully downloadable, enabling the company to keep the course affordable for even the most budget-conscious learners.
