"Run Wienie, Run!" 7th Annual Wiener Dog Races

PR Log (Press Release) – Jul 09, 2009 – Nevada State Fair announces the 7th Annual Wiener Dog Races at the 2009 Nevada State Fair.

As seen last year on MSN and CNN, the races will be held Sunday, August 30, 2009 in the Nevada State Fair’s indoor arena at the Reno Livestock Events Center.  This year’s event includes a “People’s Choice” Costume Contest for all racing dogs.  

Contestant check-in begins at 11 a.m., races begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday.  The final race will be held immediately after the pre-trial race.

More than 150 contestants are expected in the Race to the “Wiener’s Circle.”
