Plus Display, the leading exhibition stand providers, is launching its top five exhibition tips to help those currently aboard a sinking ship to ride the financial storm.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul 09, 2009 -
In recent months, firms struggling to survive the wrath of the economic downturn have sacrificed everything from staff to clever marketing, but as sales continue to drop to drop off and the situation for many is on a downhill slide, the benefits of marketing your firm correctly are starting to shine through.  Now Plus Display, the leading exhibition stand providers, is launching its top five exhibition tips to help those currently aboard a sinking ship to ride the financial storm.

Mr Bristow, from the firm who offer everything from Pop up stands to roller banner stands, said, “In recent months firms have done everything in their power to cut back, and sometimes this has been at a huge cost.  Removing marketing from your budget is a huge mistake, as you will cut your audience in half and fail to bring in any new custom.  In recent months, many firms have come to us for exhibition stands and advice on making the most of their time at an exhibition, which is why we have launched our top five tips.”

1.  Before you attend an exhibition or purchase a stand think about the image you would like to portray at the event.    It can be easy to purchase a cheaply made exhibition stand, especially when times are hard, as this will have a negative effect on those you are hoping to appeal to.  If your stand looks cheap, you will be giving out the message that your products are too, so it is essential to strike the right balance.

2.  Make sure that you use the right members of staff at the exhibition.  If you are unsure of who to take, why not hold a competition style event at work to see who has the best presentation skills, manner with customers and the right level of passion.  If you select your members of staff from a selection process, they will also gain a sense of achievement and they will be keen to make an impact at the event.

3. Make sure that you get there early and do your homework.  Do some research before you attend the event and find out what you are up against, and find out what makes your products different, as this will be your unique selling point. It is essential that you find a great place to pitch your stand, if this has not already been allocated and make sure that it is within easy reach of your target market.

4. Make sure that your exhibition does not end at the event.  After the event, you should assign a few members of staff to follow up your leads from the event and although it can be time consuming, this is a great way to turn those visitors into conversions.

5. Make sure that you plan way in advance of next year’s show, and purchase a great exhibition stand made featuring high quality graphics and made from top notch materials, that way when those exhibitions come around again, you will be fully prepared!
