(STEVENS POINT, Wis.) - Premiere Global Sports (PGS) has been named the exclusive fan travel and hospitality provider for USA Curling. PGS will provide fan travel and hospitality services to USA Curling for key events, beginning with the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and then also targeting the 2010 national and world championships.
"Interest in curling has risen steadily over the past decade in the United States, and with that interest in attending curling events," said Rick Patzke, chief operating officer of USA Curling. "Our partnership with Premiere Global Sports is designed to make it easier for fans to be a part of top curling events around the world, beginning with the Vancouver Olympics.
Premiere Global Sports, the industry leader in sports travel, hospitality, and marketing services for consumers, corporations and universities, plans to develop and manage a dedicated website for travel packages to key curling events as well as fully promote the events through a targeted marketing plan.
"We are extremely happy to be a partner of the USA Curling team," said Robert Tuchman, executive vice president of Premiere Global Sports' corporate division in New York City. "We are looking forward to providing curling fans around the world with travel packages to major events including the nationals and Olympics. This five-year agreement will assist USA Curling with its mission to grow the sport of curling throughout the United States.
