Young entertainers Erica Wagner and Nate Huffman perform as Sonny and Cher in a tribute to the American Pop icons of the 60's and 70's. "A Step Back In Time" revitalizes the CBS' hit TV show "The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour.”
Erica Wagner stars as Cher. Reminiscent of a young Elizabeth Taylor with her curly black Cher wig, Erica has the look, the vocals and the talent of a star performer. She has performed with the KIDZ Act at the Sugden Theatre, the Naples Philharmonic as well as starring in several musical theater productions of the Creative Theater Workshops including Seussical the Musical and Rodgers and Hammerstein’
Sonny is performed by Nate Huffman. The blue-eyed, young teen resembles Sonny with his brown hair framing his face like Sonny Bono. Huffman, a talented and accomplished actor, has performed at Walt Disney World and has been awarded several accolades including “Most Entertaining Performer”, “Dancer of the Year” and “Mister Junior Star of Tomorrow.”
“The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour” debuted in 1971. Produced by the head of CBS programming, Fred Silverman, the show received 15 Emmy Award nominations, winning an Emmy for Best Direction in its’ four seasons on CBS. The show was a revitalization of the nightclub routine of Louis Prima and Keely Smith. In 1974, Cher won a Golden Globe Award for “Best Performance By An Actress in a TV Series” for the show.
“A Step Back In Time” is a musical production of Phyllis Sample and sponsored by Interior Solutions of Naples. Doors open at 2 PM, Show starts at 3 PM. $5.00 Admission
