MILWAUKEE, WI – Starkmedia Inc., a company that specializes in web development and interactive marketing, recently redesigned Milwaukee Public Television’s website to enhance communication to Southeastern Wisconsin’s viewing area. As a viewer supported television station, Milwaukee Public Television asked Starkmedia to center the redesign on providing improved access to donation opportunities.
The new website is equipped with navigation that allows new donation opportunities to be born and gives quick and intuitive access to the content, while focusing on directing the public to outlets that support MPTV through pledges, membership, planned giving, corporate support, and auctions. Among other improvements were the addition of video capabilities to inform viewers and pique their interest in the clients’ programming, podcasts to educate and entertain, and links to both Facebook and Twitter to provide them with new marketing opportunities.
“It has been great to have the opportunity to work on a project with an organization that is closely tied to the local community,” says David Marten lead designer, “The implementation of video, social media, and various publishing tools will help connect the organization with the community in ways that are fairly ground-breaking for a local public television station.”
Starkmedia has established a strong relationship with MPTV through reoccurring projects over past three years. “We support the vision of MPTV and hope it is emphasized through their online presence,” says Ken Stark, president of Starkmedia.”
