With the summer months continuing to heat up and with the music getting better, R&B Live DC is proud to make some minor adjustments. R&B Live DC will now be held at Station 9 which a jazzy, modern venue on the historic U St. There will continue to be great food; live music and some of today’s top tastemakers will be in the building. For the month of July R&B Live DC is proud to present Keke Wyatt. Keke came onto the scene 2001 with her debut cd “Soul Sista” which sold over 600,000 units and had two hit single’s “Nothing in this World” and “My First Love” with R&B singer Avant. Since then Keke has changed record labels but is now working as an independent artist and is going to release a new album titled “Ghetto Rose” in the fall. The host of R&B Live DC this month will be the lovely producer of the show, Carla Truitt. We will also be joined by DC’s own legendary DJ Kool spinning. Opening the show will be Stax Records recording artist N’dambi. She is a Texan native and is no stranger to the industry. She toured as a background singer for Grammy Award winning artist Erykah Badu and also co-wrote “Baduizm” and “Mama’s Gun”. R&B Live DC would also like to say Happy Birthday to Lindsay Guion who will be celebrating his birthday at this month’s show. He is the manager of Grammy Award winning R&B singer D’Angelo and singer-songwriter Jaguar Wright. This month’s event will be power packed and is a definite add onto your calendar of events.
