CHICAGO (June, 2009) – Spring signals a time of commencement, and REALTORS® from across the country recently celebrated their own graduation of sorts, as they completed the National Association of REALTORS®’ Leadership Academy. The commencement ceremonies were held during the 2009 REALTOR® Midyear Legislative Meetings in Washington, D.C.

The NAR Leadership Academy is a nine-month, five-session training and development program
structured around national REALTOR® meetings. REALTOR®
An advisory council selected a handful of REALTORS® for the leadership program that began in August 2008 at NAR’s Leadership Summit in Chicago and concluded during the Midyear Legislative Meetings last week in Washington, D.C. The volunteer leaders were presented to NAR’s Executive Committee as their final confirmation of leadership training. Faye Nelson of Kennewick, Washington and Jan Ellingson of Burlington, Washington were two of the 27 Realtors to graduate from across the nation in 2009. These women are two of only three Washington REALTORS to ever graduate from the NAR Leadership Academy.
