On 29 June 2009 Libertarian commentator, David Singhiser, launched his new international online business, Libertas Internet Marketing. Mr. Singhiser has spent much of his time in the last decade traveling from his home in Honolulu to Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Europe and will soon be adding Africa to his agenda. While in Honolulu, he told us why he started his new project. “I launched Libertas Internet Marketing to give people the means to live as the writers and historians, William Rees-Mogg and James Dale Davidson describe in their book, The Sovereign Individual.
There are various terms to describe this lifestyle. W. G. Hill coined the term "PT" or "perpetual traveler." Timothy Ferriss, in his book, The 4-Hour Work Week, writes of “Lifestyle Design” and the “New Rich.” All describe living outside the normal structures of nine to five jobs. Sovereign Individuals or PTs travel, work, and live on their own terms, free from government and corporate control.”
Mr. Singhiser, a former teacher and fervent libertarian, says that he loved Tim Ferriss’s book, The 4-Hour Work Week. He adds that he had already been living that life in a small way, but has studied more to gain greater personal autonomy. “My goal is to help as many people as possible create and design a more fulfilling life for themselves. I joined with Jay Kubassek, Michael Force, Jasper Silvis, and David Schwind to create Libertas Internet Marketing to show others how to earn a living, a very substantial living I might add, anywhere in the world, away from dead-end boring jobs, giving people both time and financial freedom. I want them to have what I have.”
