Honorees are selected based on their work in helping to improve the quality of life for the diverse Dallas population, and their commitment to creating and promoting an environment of diversity and inclusiveness.

Her organization does this without regard to any consideration except an individual’s ability to perform and deliver results,” says Bernice Washington, President and CEO of BJW Consulting, LLC. who delivered the keynote address at the ceremony.
Gloria Campos, News Anchor for WFAA, Channel 8, served as the Master of Ceremony for the Awards, and the keynote address was delivered by Author and Speaker, The award recipients were selected by a panel of esteemed judges from the community which included Susie Bell, Vice President, Bell, Bell & Associates; Steve Denson, Director of Diversity and Lecturer, Cox School of Business, SMU; Delia Jasso, Dallas City Council, District 1; Dr, Wright Lassiter, Jr. Chancellor, Dallas County Community College District; and Robert Moore, Publisher, Dallas Voice.
Net proceeds form the event will benefit diversity and education programs at the Dallas Arboretum, including fundraising support for a new Children’s Garden.
